Features
- Psy.D. programs in clinical psychology and school psychology integrate virtually all coursework with significant supervised experience, melding theory with the critical practitioner skills of assessment, intervention, and evaluation.
- The school only accepts students into the Psy.D. programs. The Psy.M. degree is awarded to students upon partial completion of a doctoral program.
- Research and service are integral components of the school’s mission, including the work of highly regarded centers and clinics, such as the Douglass Developmental Disabilities Center.
- Proud of the diversity of its current student body and its alumni, the school has an array of student organizations and an active alumni organization, with more than 800 alumni practicing in 14 countries.
- A doctor of philosophy (Ph.D.) in clinical psychology is offered through the Graduate School–New Brunswick and trains clinical psychologists whose primary interests are in research and teaching rather than in professional practice. There is much cooperation and collaboration between the Ph.D. and Psy.D. programs.
