School of Public Health

As part of Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences, the School of Public Health’s exceptional, accessible, and affordable educational programs are designed to accommodate working professionals and full-time students. Programs in New Brunswick, Newark, and Stratford offer postbaccalaureate certificates, master’s, and doctoral degrees, and several dual degrees. New Brunswick is home to five departments: biostatistics; environmental and occupational health; epidemiology; health education and behavioral science; and health systems and policy. Students participate in leading public health research and put education into practice through international health and community service projects.

Features

  • Administered through the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy, the B.A. or B.S./M.P.H. degree programs are open to highly qualified undergraduate students with at least 60 credits.
  • Certificate Programs are for postbaccalaureate students interested in entering the public health field and for returning public health graduates who wish to enhance their knowledge.
  • The school collaborates with several centers and institutes, including the Center for Health Economics and Health Policy, and New Jersey Center for Public Health Preparedness.
