In 2009, 85 percent of the entering undergraduate class at Rutgers University received an offer of financial aid, ranging from $500 to $24,000, with the average financial aid package reaching $17,700. Obtaining an undergraduate or advanced degree is an investment in your future, and we’re here to help you explore ways to pay for your education.

 

Access Your Options

If you’re considering college and haven’t quite figured out how to pay for it, don’t worry. The university makes every effort to offer financial support to students with demonstrated financial need. Most students receive some sort of financial assistance and use a mix of other funding sources, such as savings, scholarships, grants, loans, and personal income, to cover costs. Understanding the process and available resources is the first step to financing your education at Rutgers–New Brunswick.

Undergraduate Aid Resources 

Undergraduate Admissions offers a great introduction to financing your Rutgers education. Learn about tuition and fees, the types of financial aid available, and deadlines, and estimate your college expenses.

Educational Opportunity Fund Program 

In partnership with Rutgers, the New Jersey Educational Opportunity Fund Program provides access to higher education and support for highly motivated students who exhibit the potential for success, but who come from economically and educationally disadvantaged families and/or communities. Through the program, first-year students can obtain financial assistance, find help transitioning to college life, and get access to tailored academic support.
